eSpark can use your existing NWEA Map Growth or Renaissance Star benchmark assessment results to diagnose learning levels and build individual lesson sequences at key checkpoints throughout the year.

NWEA MAP® Growth™

NWEA (formerly known as Northwest Evaluation Association) is a mission-driven, not-for-profit organization that supports students and educators by creating assessment solutions that precisely measure growth and proficiency—and provide insights to help tailor instruction. MAP Growth measures what students know and what they’re ready to learn next. eSpark is an approved instructional partner of NWEA, making it easy for schools and districts to differentiate in reading and math based on students’ MAP Growth assessment data.

eSpark uses instructional area RIT scores* provided by NWEA to pinpoint students’ unique needs and differentiate instruction with our reading and math pathways.

*Because NWEA does not assess foundational skills on the 2-5 reading test, we use students’ overall RIT score as the level for reading foundational skills. For all other areas, we use the instructional area RIT scroe.

Renaissance Star Assessments®

Renaissance Learning offers a suite of Star Assessments that are standards-aligned and computer adaptive. Some school districts choose to implement Star 360, a comprehensive benchmark assessment that includes Star Reading, Star Math, and Star Early Literacy.

Star Assessments identify academic domains in which students would benefit from targeted instruction and practice. eSpark is able to use this data to set personalized learning plans in both math and reading.
