Prove eSpark Impact in Real-Time with Efficacy Insights

Investing in a supplemental program should be based on measurable impact: you shouldn’t have to rely on generic case studies or vague claims of effectiveness with students other than your own.

Efficacy Insights (EI) is a powerful new reporting tool designed to help school and district leaders measure the real-world impact of eSpark through the third-party assessments you already use and trust.

These new reports provide just-in-time, localized evidence demonstrating correlation of high-fidelity eSpark usage to academic outcomes – down to the level of your individual students by subject. With eSpark’s Efficacy Insights, now part of every eSpark subscription, you now have actionable data at your fingertips!

What is Efficacy Insights?

Efficacy Insights is a new reporting feature built into the eSpark Admin Dashboard for school and district leaders.

It correlates eSpark engagement and usage data with academic outcomes measured through assessments including NWEA MAP Growth and Renaissance Star, providing a clear line of sight between how your students are using eSpark and how they’re growing academically.

EI helps school and district leaders:
1) Understand whether students and teachers are using eSpark effectively and intentionally
2) Assess how usage is translating into measurable academic growth
3) Identify high-fidelity implementation hallmarks and where additional support is needed

Efficacy Insights data is specific to your students and can be examined holistically, comparing student cohorts or key timeframes like winter versus spring. This ensures that your reports are actionable and support data-informed decisions, ultimately maximizing your return on investment.

What makes Efficacy Insights different?

Most edtech companies ask you to trust their research and claims. At eSpark, we partner with you to set and monitor goals specific to your community.

Here’s what sets Efficacy Insights apart:

EI is aligned with the benchmarks you already use

Efficacy Insights integrates the third-party assessment data your district already relies on, so that you can evaluate eSpark’s impact without adopting new frameworks or unfamiliar metrics.

EI turns your district’s data into the most relevant case study you’ve seen

You care about the results taking place in your classrooms – not in a land far, far away. Efficacy Insights gives you localized reports that show how eSpark is driving growth in your district, with visual breakdowns of usage and achievement.

EI equips you with implementation insights that drive action

See which schools or classrooms are using eSpark with fidelity and where coaching or support could make a difference. With Efficacy Insights for both Math and ELA subject areas, your data becomes a roadmap for success.

EI directly ties engagement to outcomes

We’ve always focused on making learning joyful and engaging, because we know that engagement drives results. Efficacy Insights gives you a way to evaluate those claims for yourself, connecting eSpark’s distinctive strengths to the outcomes that matter most to you.

New reports launch for partners in Fall 2025

With EI, you don’t have to wonder whether eSpark is working – you’ll know. You’ll have access to personalized, transparent, third-party-validated evidence of impact, plus the insights needed to maximize that impact over time.

When Efficacy Insights rolls out in Fall 2025, you’ll be able to:

  • Track usage trends across schools, classrooms, and grade levels
  • Correlate eSpark engagement with student growth on trusted benchmark assessments
  • Identify needs and set further goals based on real district-level patterns

Connecting your data with eSpark is simple: administrators upload assessment data in .csv format to eSpark’s secure data portal. And because Efficacy Insights works with your assessment tools, there’s no need to retrain staff or explain unfamiliar metrics. The data lives in the same ecosystem your teams already understand, just with the added lens of eSpark usage.

Efficacy Insights is currently available in beta at select schools and districts, and will be available for all eSpark partners beginning in Fall 2025. We take great pride in shaping our product around partner feedback, and we look forward to hearing what you think!
