Mary is the Curriculum Development and Instructional Design Lead at eSpark. As a former special education teacher for students with low-incidence disabilities, RtI Coordinator and iPad Initiative Grant recipient with Chicago Public Schools, Mary utilized iPads to engage students, increase independence, and promote inclusive classrooms. Mary holds a BA in Psychology and Spanish from the College of the Holy Cross, a Master of Education in the area of Special Education from Loyola University, and an Educational Specialist Degree from National Louis University.

Shannon cares deeply about eliminating inequity in education. She joined eSpark as Head of People after working for Teach For America as Managing Director of Midwest campus recruitment. She received her undergraduate degree in Marketing and Communication Studies from Western Michigan University and holds a Masters degree from Hunter College in Special Education with a concentration in Learning Disabilities. Prior to her work at Teach For America, Shannon was a high school teacher in New York City public schools in a special education setting.
